The Architecture Review Board (ARB) is a team of experienced IT professionals from Department of Technology and Information (DTI) and the Information Resource Management (IRM) Council. They evaluate the technological merits of proposed solutions to Business Cases that are submitted to the internal Technology Investment Council (iTIC).

Information Resource Managers are appointed by their cabinet secretary or school district superintendent and represent their respective agency/school district on the IRM council. The Council is a self-governing body with many subcommittees that address specific technology needs within the state. IRMs are responsible for the development, implementation and management of a Department's or School District's information/data processing resources. The area of responsibility is department-wide, providing data processing services and resources for department operations and administration. The role of the IRM is to integrate the IT infrastructure with the business needs of the organization.

Chair - Danka Prilepkova, Information Security Officer, DTI
Information Security Officers (ISOs) and their alternates are DTI's main contacts in state organizations, school districts, higher education facilities and other state organizations for security information. ISOs coordinate system access requests and play an important role in maintaining internal control requirements. Additionally, ISOs maintain accurate information on all network and applications users. This group meets on a quarterly basis.

This committee provides a forum for cross-team assessment within DTI of new projects from all state organizations. It makes recommendations and communicates findings on feasibility, suitability and compliance to standards to the TIC.

The Technology and Architecture Standards Committee oversees the development and maintenance of standards and policies that apply to statewide use of technology. The Information Resource Management (IRM) Council is a key contributor to the TASC processes.
- Technology Investment Council (TIC)

Chair - Jim Sills, CIO
The TIC was established when House Bill 254 was signed into law by the Governor in January 2002. The Council consists of nine members, four of which are 'permanent' members with the remaining five being discretionary appointees of the Governor. The four permanent members are as follows: the State CIO who will chair the Council, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the Controller General, and the Secretary of Education. TIC was established to assess, advise and make recommendations on technology related funding and the establishment of a statewide technology plan to be used by the Budget Director and Governor. TIC is also charged with enforcing best practices with regard to project management of technology related efforts with periodic monitoring of existing technology projects.
