Cyber Security

Contest Winners Announced!

TomTom Jarrett, Secretary of the Delaware Department of Information and Technology, speaks to the award ceremony attendees.

DTI was pleased to launch our first Cyber Security Awareness Poster Contest in the fall of 2007. The contest was limited to 4th and 5th grade students in public and charter schools statewide.

The overall objective was to promote cyber security awareness in the schools by encouraging students to illustrate how kids use computers to access the Internet safely.

The poster contest winners and their families and teachers were invited to attend the annual Delaware Center for Educational Tecnnology (DCET) conference in April 2008. Secretary of the Department of Technology and Information, Tom Jarrett, presented the awards to the students.
