Program Management Office
The PMO is comprised of members of the Project Management Team, the Organizational Change Management Team, and the Delaware Enterprise Architecture Lifecycle (DEAL) Team. The PMO is responsible for establishing standards and processes, providing training and mentoring, and working with the DTI Senior Staff and other DTI teams to create an environment conducive to project success. The PMO will serve not only as a resource pool for Change, Quality, Project, and Program Management personnel for DTI projects, but will also function as a consulting organization for any State government entity as requested by the entity or as directed by the Chief Information Officer or Technology Investment Council.
MissionThe Program Management Office provides leadership in the development and deployment of technology solutions throughout the State of Delaware by promoting consistent Program, Organizational Change, Quality, Project Management, and Enterprise Architecture processes and roles in the Information Technology realm, enabling the State to serve, protect, and effectively communicate with its citizens. Vision The Program Management Office, working with major organizations in this industry both in the private and public sector, will lead the State of Delaware as a national model incorporating industry best practices in order to "Enable Excellence In Delaware State Government."
PM/OCM Certification TrainingThe DTI Program Management Office (PMO) certification training is comprised of three courses presenting key concepts of DTI's project management methodology that includes concepts of the Project Management Institutes's (PMI) PMBOK® and DTI's Organizational Change Management methodology. The instructor-led courses are tactical in nature, using a combination of lecture, discussion, and small group 'hands-on' activities. Basic Course: Concepts of DTI's project management and organizational change management methodology.
Intermediate Course: Application of DTI's project management and organizational change management methodology.
Advanced Course: Apply knowledge learned to respond tactically to project situations.
PMI Delaware Valley Chapter - Delmarva BranchIn an effort to bring together public and private sector Project Management professionals, in March 2007, the DTI Program Management Office took the lead to create a local branch of the Project Management Institute (PMI®)-Delaware Valley Chapter, which typically holds events in southern Pennsylvania. The new PMI-Delmarva Branch hosts education and networking sessions (dinner meetings) in the Dover, Delaware area. You are cordially invited to join us.
