Employee Testimonials
“Working for DTI as a Project Manager has provided me with growth opportunities beyond just technology. If you are seeking a job that provides a sense of accomplishment, makes you a better professional, and challenges you to be the best person you can be every day, then I encourage you to become a member of the Department of Technology and Information.”
“I still remember my first day of work at DTI over 18 years ago. I specifically remember driving into the parking lot and being so excited to be working for the State Information Technology Department.
Upon reflection today, after many leadership changes, I still feel that way! DTI’s policy of continued workforce development has benefitted me tremendously with four industry certifications, numerous professional development courses, and a bachelor’s degree from Wilmington University.
I can only attribute my continued excitement and success here to the culture of DTI.”
“I’ll soon be celebrating my 13th year with DTI. Having exposure to incredibly talented team members across all the technologies we support has meant the world to me and my career.
My overall skillset has gone from being a mile wide and an inch deep to a specialized technical skillset that is an inch wide and a mile deep!”
“As a relatively new employee to DTI, as well as to State Government, I can still remember my first day like it was yesterday. Since joining DTI, I have learned so much and have met some really incredible people. Every day is a new learning experience, especially when working in the field of Information Technology since things are always changing.
Working at DTI makes this that much more rewarding! Whether it be working with a new agency and meeting new people or embarking on a new project, working with the best IT talent in the State makes each day at DTI one to remember.”
“When I joined DTI my hope was that I could find a place where I could expand my knowledge, increase my technical certifications, and grow within that same organization. DTI had everything I was hoping for. I can continue to grow my technical skillset, work on additional certifications, and use that applied knowledge here for my role, and I can grow based on my technical interests. If I want to look more at Networking, DTI can provide it. Security? DTI can provide it. Coding? DTI can provide it.
Couple in the fact that I have the best work/life balance I’ve had in my professional career and amazing benefits, it’s hard not to say that DTI is the best place I’ve worked in the past decade.”
“My story at DTI began four years ago… the various teams and staff could not have been more welcoming, helpful, and interested in achieving our goals… the teamwork and willingness to assist each of us within DTI has made my decision to transition to DTI one of the best career moves I have ever made.
I am extremely fortunate to work for leaders who support, guide, and ensure morale and employee development are key objectives for overall success.”
“When you work for DTI, you work for one of the best IT organizations with some of the best minds in IT. DTI offers a unique environment that requires unique solutions. When you can work in an IT environment like that, it forces you to think outside the box, which serves to help you grow and not stay stagnant in the IT field.
As a DTI employee, it has allowed me to achieve a home/work-life balance that leaves many in the IT field envious. Being a part of the DTI, you’re not just an employee but a family member.”
“I am a relatively new employee to DTI. I am proud to work for the State of Delaware Department of Technology and Information. I came to DTI with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Network Security from Wilmington University and a lot of administrative work experience. Seven months ago, I was trying to get back on a full-time working schedule after COVID.
I had applied to many jobs out there in the job market. I knew I really wanted to be hired by DTI. The week I accepted the job at DTI I had nine different job offers. DTI was a great choice. People are knowledgeable, friendly, the work life balance is good. I feel like I can contribute here and make a difference.”
