People. Process. Technology.

Three simple words that define Jason’s dedication to developing relationships and driving outcomes that deliver customer-oriented enterprise technology solutions for the state agencies and citizens of Delaware.

Bolstered by his previous experience and advancement in private sector finance, Jason began his career in public service in Delaware as a Customer Relationship Specialist in 2007. His willingness to take on challenges, and ability to build rapport with customers and combine policy with process to continuously improve delivery of services, propelled Jason to progressive leadership positions ‒ from Team Leader, to Chief of Policy and Communications, to Chief Operating Officer.

During his career, Jason has played an integral role in developing and implementing many of the State’s major technology initiatives including: Delaware One Stop, Data Center consolidation, IT Centralization, expanding Rural Wireless Broadband, transitioning the State to Office 365, creating the Delaware Cyber Security Advisory Council, and working with our partners to support the Governor’s efforts to extend legal protections for citizens impacted by cyber security breaches (HB 180) ‒ to name just a few.

Appointed by Governor John Carney as Acting CIO in September 2020, and formally confirmed by the Senate as CIO in January 2021, Jason is responsible for leading DTI’s team of more than 300 IT professionals with the collective mission of providing technology services and scalable, collaborative solutions that help Delaware provide the highest quality programs and digital government services to its citizens.

An alumnus of the University of Delaware, Jason resides in Newark with his wife and two sons.
