“My first day of work at DTI approximately 10 years ago, I remember driving into the parking lot and being so excited to be working for the State Information Technology Department. Upon reflection today, I still feel that way! I gave up a merit position in another department in State Government to work for DTI. I have never regretted my decision. DTI’s policy of continuing education has benefitted me tremendously. I have received 3 industry certifications and a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Resource Management from Wilmington University.
I can only attribute my continued excitement and success here to the culture of DTI.”
“I’ve invested 16 years of my work life at DTI and have seen a lot of changes in that time! As with any job there are ups and downs but the one thing that has remained a constant is the diversity and the talent of the people that work here. Every day presents new challenges and there is satisfaction in seeing the team consistently address each obstacle and technology change.
Keeping things operational, being proactive, putting out fires, looking for ways to save money and time, investing in the lives of others…these are the things that I’ve seen over time and these are the things that make the job interesting every day! What’s in it for me? The constant challenge of always learning, the chance to contribute to making things better, and the opportunity to work with the best IT talent in the state!”
“When I was working at other state agencies, I always ran to DTI for help. The staff in various sections I have dealt with have always been very knowledgeable and helpful.
Now that I work at DTI, I am privileged to work with people who are not only experts in what they do, but at the same time understanding of my need as a worker and as a mother as well. When you work at DTI, you will never feel alone. There will always be someone to help you.”
