Department of Technology & Information

Enterprise Architecture Program

Tony Collins -- Enterprise Architect

What is "Enterprise Architecture?"

Enterprise Architecture is a discipline that contains the perspective, processes, and structure that will encourage us to think and work across business and technology boundaries. Initially, it will promote and facilitate the sharing of technology resources and practices to maximize collaboration and minimize the duplication of costs and efforts. Additionally, this discipline will help to define and document a single, common, statewide technology direction to support projects and enable the secure exchange of information. It will enable the tracing and relating of our technology investments back to the business strategies and goals of the State, which will be a valuable perspective, when a department or school is communicating the impact of technology.

Enterprise Architecture Program Services:

  • Facilitate discussions to determine the State's technology direction.
  • Provide architectural guidance on projects.
  • Identify opportunities to share technology and information across the State.

Goals & Objectives

  • Promote and support strategic planning.
  • Create a collaborative forum to discuss the State's technology direction.
  • Understand the relationships between technology solutions.
