Statewide IT Outage

Important Message

7/22/2024 7:00 a.m.

IT personnel and partners across Delaware worked throughout the weekend continuing to restore computing devices impacted by the global IT outage. While most state systems were operational on Friday, many of the computers used to access those systems were impacted by the outage.

Nearly 26,600 computers (i.e., desktops, laptops, and other devices) required remediation. As of this morning, more than 80% of those devices have been restored. The remainder are primarily devices of remote workers.

Sincerest thanks to all the teams and partners on this tremendous collaboration for their incredible work to ensure state agencies can deliver services to our residents and visitors.

Any state employees experiencing issues should contact their normal IT Service Desk. All state IT Service Desks are equipped with the information they need to resolve remediation issues. DTI’s Service Desk can also be contacted at (302) 739-9560.

The State of Delaware’s awareness and response to the global IT operational outage began Friday, July 19 around 1:00 a.m. Significant progress has been made by many employees and our partners across the state to restore the technology that enables state agencies to deliver services.

Work continues to ensure all state computer devices are operational and employees can access systems to provide support to Delaware residents and visitors.

  • Most (Applications/System) Servers have been remediated; ALL Servers are expected to be remediated by the end of the weekend.
  • Many Desktops/Laptops are remediated; Desktop/Laptop remediation in some agencies will carry into next week.
