Christina Dirksen — Strategic Communications Manager

Primary responsibilities include overseeing public communications including requests for information ( excluding FOIA ), press inquiries, web content, and social media. Strategic Communications is the primary media contact office responsible for responding to inquiries, cultivating and enhancing collaborative working relationships with the press, agency partners and the community.
Services:
  • Reviewing, updating and administering media policies to enhance the effectiveness of the press and publicity function;
  • Composing and editing press releases, media advisories, agency literature, newsletter and articles for internal and external use;
  • Gathering and disseminating timely information to press and staff;
  • Acting as media spokesperson on behalf of the agency;
  • Planning and overseeing press events;
  • Researching and writing briefing materials, press kits and presentations.
