The State of Delaware’s new Delaware Identity System Single Sign-On solution is a required front-end to Delaware’s digital government plans. When fully implemented, state workers will simply login with their “Delaware ID” at ID.Delaware.gov to validate their identity to securely access state systems and applications from any device, anytime, anywhere. How to Register describes the initial registration process.
Videos below and others on the resource page demonstrate this new solution.
Every day, more business and government network security compromises occur across the country. This intelligent solution leverages modern technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) to secure our state information and will replace existing legacy single sign-on solution and Multi-Factor (2-factor) Authentication solutions like Entrust, which will be mostly decommissioned in October.
We are excited that this new solution provides unparalleled security and ease of use for workers. It also resolves an issue presented by Microsoft 365’s requirement for MFA to access email and other applications for employees who were not able to use the Microsoft 365 MFA solution, allowing state organizations whose workers were not able to use the previous MFA solution to now transition to Microsoft 365.
Work has begun on a citizen single sign on system using the same solution. The citizen identity system will support a variety of digital government enhancements in the coming years.
